Paint.NET is a free image and image editing program for Windows PCs. It has a simple yet inventive user interface, with layers, infinite undo, special effects, and a wide range of useful and powerful tools. Friendly support, lessons and plugins are available from a vibrant and growing online community.

It started as a Microsoft-supervised undergraduate college final design project and is now maintained by several of the original team members. It started out as a free alternative to the Microsoft Paint program that came with Windows and has evolved into a sophisticated yet user-friendly picture and image editor. It has been compared to Adobe® Photoshop®, Corel® Paint Shop Pro®, Microsoft Picture Editor and GIMP, among other digital photo editing software.

Strengths and features

The user interface is simple, straightforward and unique

Every function and UI element has been created to be simple and easy to pick up without any help. Paint.NET uses a tabbed document interface to make working with many images easier.

Performance

Paint.NET has undergone extensive development to become the fastest image editor available. Whether you're using a netbook with an energy-efficient Atom processor or a dual Intel Xeon workstation with eight blazingly fast processing cores, you can count on the program to load quickly and respond to every mouse click.

Layers

Layers are the foundation of a complete image compositing experience, but they are usually only available in expensive or sophisticated professional applications. You can think of them as a stack of transparent slides that form an image when viewed together.

Theatrical effects

To enhance and polish your photos, several unique effects are offered. Everything is included, including blur, sharpen, red-eye correction, distortion, noise, and embossing. The distinctive 3D rotate/zoom effect is also included, making it easy to add perspective and tilt.

Really effective toolsfefficient

Simple tools for drawing shapes are included in Paint.NET, including an easy-to-use curve tool for creating splines or Bézier curves. The Gradient tool, which debuted in version 3.0, was hailed as a breakthrough over similar tools offered by other apps. The tools for making and manipulating choices are powerful, but they're also basic enough to get used to quickly.

There is no end to the story

Everyone makes mistakes, and everyone changes their minds. Every action you perform on an image is recorded in the History window and can be undone to accommodate this. You can also redo an action after undoing it. Only the amount of disk space available limits the duration of the history.

Note that Paint.NET requires the current version of Microsoft.NET Framework, which is installed automatically if it is not already installed. for more information, visit the official link Paint.NET
