CPD test is an Android device policy controller that allows developers to see how their app will behave in a controlled context such as device owner or under a managed profile.

More information about the DPC test

Test DPC is a prototype Device Policy Controller for use with Android for Work. It allows developers to see how their app will act in a controlled environment, such as a device owner or under a controlled profile. Please keep in mind that this software is for testing purposes only. It is not intended for use in a production setting.

This app is for app developers who want to test their generated apps before going live. If you are a regular user, this software will be useless to you. The program should never be used with live data and is not intended for production use.

Application developers can use the DPC application to test their applications.

This app allows developers to preview how their app works in a managed profile and environment. Users can create a work profile, activate work apps, restrict app usage, manage security policies and more. In other words, all these features will be very useful to a developer when testing his new software.

This software allows application developers to track the varied behaviors of their applications developed in a regulated environment. Managed contexts include things like

  • Device Ownership
  • Managed profile

Here are some other management options that can be used with Test DPC.

  • Creation of a professional profile
  • Make apps work
  • Creating limitations for specific applications
  • Monitoring security policies

Compared to other DPCs, the DPC test also serves as an implantation reference. The source code of Test DPC is available at github.

Consideration:

The DPC test seems to remain in App Manager after removing the product, causing excessive battery drain.
