PhotoFilter Studio is an application of complete photo editing. You can use the app to make simple or complex edits to an image, as well as add a variety of filters to it. The tool is simple to use and understand, with a short learning curve. The toolbar, which provides quick access to the usual filters with just a few clicks, gives the product a solid appearance. PhotoFiltre Studio is a software suite that includes an image editor and effects. The studio has a number of capabilities that rival those of commercial software, as well as additional add-ons that can be downloaded from the Website from the studio. The software includes all the basic editing tools (selection, clone brush, brush, etc.), as well as a wide range of image effects, photo masks, image modifications, image browsers, thumbnails, etc. Batch processing lets you apply filters, sizes, edits, and transformations to a large number of images at once.

PhotoFilter Studio is shareware with a 30 day evaluation period. If you wish to continue using the software after the 30-day trial period, you must purchase a registration key from the program author. If, on the other hand, you no longer wish to use the software, you must immediately remove it from your computer.

Strengths and features

Filters are in place

Its comprehensive set of filters helps newcomers get to grips with the graphics world. Standard adjustment functions (brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, gamma correction) as well as creative filters are available (watercolor, pastels, Indian ink, pointillism, puzzle effect).

Selections based on vectors

There are two kinds of vector choices used in this studio. The first type uses predefined shapes (rectangle, ellipse, triangle, rhombus, rounded rectangle). The lasso and the polygon belong to the second type. They both allow you to create a custom shape by drawing a shape by hand or using a sequence of lines. Each choice can be saved in a separate file for later use.

The brushes

The Studio contains several basic brushes (round and square in different sizes), as well as more unusual shapes (oblique line, custom shapes,). You can draw a gradient along the line using the Rainbow option. There are more effects available than 3D, pastels and charcoal.

Option for automatic feeding and filling

This feature allows you to automatically fill a vector form with colors or create strokes. Use the Line tool with single or double arrows to create flowcharts, for example.

The erasing instrument

This tool can be used as a brush, but instead of drawing, Photo Filtre Studio erases the chosen area and makes visible the transparency grid (in Transparent or RGBA mode) or the bottom layer (multi-layer mode).

PhotoMasque is a module that allows you to create a photo collage

By using predefined masks in PhotoMasque, you can create sophisticated outline and transparency effects on your photos. These masks are grayscale images with white as the transparency color and increasing opacity as the grayscale tints darken. Full opacity is represented by the color black. PhotoMasque comes with some basic masks to help you create your own.

Image Explorer

The exploration module has a toolbar that allows you to quickly visit predefined folders (selection, masks, patterns, etc.)

Note: This is a 30 day trial edition.
